Hi and assalamualaikum everyone! Welcome back to my blog on the sixth week of Fieldwork II. I am so excited to share with you about my activities on 10th November 2023. As usual, I started my day early than other course to attend roll call and assembly at Agrotech.
We have to pay attention and listened about manuring.

In the agricultural world, fertilizer is a material that is applied to the soil or plants in order to provide vital nutrients that encourage plant growth and raise crop yield. The growth and reproduction of plants depend on these nutrients, which include potassium, phosphorus, and nitrogen. In order to improve soil fertility and address nutrient deficiencies, fertilizers can be synthetic or organic.
In addition, the type of fertilizer and the particular requirements of the plants determine when to apply it. Considering variables like soil type, climate, and plant nutrient requirements, it is critical to adhere to recommended application rates and guidelines for particular crops.
For instance:
- Some fertilizers are applied before planting or sowing seeds to provide a nutrient base for young plants.
- Depending on the stage of growth, crops with high nutrient requirements may require the application of fertilizer. This could include side-dressing or top-dressing during the growing season.
- According to soil testing, by revealing nutrient levels and deficiencies, soil tests can help determine when to apply fertilizer.
- Before rainfall or irrigation, fertilizer is better dissolved and absorbed by plants when applied ahead of anticipated rainfall or irrigation.
