My name is Syafiqah Sahira binti Saidi, usually people call me by my first name. I was born and lived in Klang, Selangor. DIFFERENCE SCHOOL AND UNIVERSITY

During the school days, the distance from home to school is very close and does not even have to cross the district. In addition, parents or the bus will send you to school but different when it comes to university. In order to get reach your dream, you have to leave your family, friends and get out from your comfort zone. You’re also going to have to adjust to independent living.

Once you enter university is totally new learning environment in every aspect. To begin with, universities are much bigger with thousands of students, plus choices and responsibilities is on your own shoulder, that is what you are going to make. But, don’t panic, you’ll pick it up much faster than you expect.

“First thing first, no one is going to yell at you if you don’t do your assignments or when you decide to skip lectures. It is all on you. You are in charge and responsible for your uni life as an adult. You won’t be forced to do anything, but it will always be beneficial to your learning if you do it.”

At university, you’re expected to take responsibility for your own learning. Unlike school, there will be no-one checking that you’ve done your homework, reminding you when assignments are due, or making sure you show up to your lectures. It’s up to you, how and when you want to learn.
