Hi,
assalamualaikum w.b.t dear readers. Welcome to my blog! Before we get
start, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Syafiqah Sahira binti
Saidi, usually people call me by my first name. I was born and lived in Klang,
Selangor. Currently, I'm UITM student at Jasin, Melaka in Diploma Plantation in
Management. I desired to share with you, about introduction to my subject that
I have learned.
On the very
first week, we have briefing for every subject include FPA100. For the other
subjects, I went to class at Blok Kuliah but because of Ramadhan public
holiday, my lecturer agreed to do online for this subject.
I woke up on 5.30 am for sahur, Fajr prayer and get ready for online class on
9am with lecturer Ts. Muhamad Zahid bin Muhamad. During online class, Sir Zahid
introduced himself and explain to classroom about Course Lesson Plan and
Assessment that we are going to do.
LESSON PLAN
The challenge that I have to faced for attend online class is lack of internet
speed. In the future, I will try to improve common problem that student have to
face or go to cybercafe with high speed internet. Week 1 do not cost anything
since I’m using my own smart phone.

MARCH 2023)
ORGANIZATION, INTRODUCTION TO FARM TOOLS, LAND CLEARING AND LINING
VENUE: FIELD, UiTM JASIN

On the second week, everything started getting serious and
require more commitment compared to my experience when I was doing Pre Diploma
Plantation and Agrotechnology in UiTM Jengka. I have to wake up early in the
morning around 5am for sahur (pre-dawn meal) and get ready to attend rollcall
on 6.30am. For attire, students have to be in all black, neat and tidy. Every
students must have those items with themselves every field work lesson.

Bunch of DPIM students gathered at parking lot next to Blok Kuliah and sat in
queue line for each class A-D. We had an ice breaking session with seniors and get
to know with persons in charge during our fieldwork such as PE Saiful and
Leader Haziq. Next, we also get to know students in position from G16 batch
such as KG Jabrullah known as KG Jep and the assistant is PKG Liana.
For rollcall routine, PE will take attendance and do some physical warm up to
make sure our body in good condition and remain great metabolism. For an
example, warm up stretch and star jump because exercising can help student to
be more fit for tough tasks even sun going up above the head. After that,
students Part 1, 2 and 3 gathered at 'Agrotech' base to recite dua, read national
pledge and sing 3 songs which is Negaraku, Wawasan Setia Warga UiTM and
planters song.

Next, we moved to 1.5 acres field work site and had another
briefing and introduction with Resources person in charge for field, FPA
lecturers and our site.

The challenges for me is to wake up very early in the morning unlike my usual routine. I have to follow dress code rules, be punctual and discipline. In addition, they will check my attire, nails and socks' color and length. To avoid any problem, I have to obey and attend rollcall by the given time.

3 (7 APRIL 2023)
LINING AND BED PREPARATION

On the third week, students have been notified
to do land cleaning manually by using hoe. It took almost a week to do land clearing
before get through lining and bed preparation. Due to manual task, each class
have to go to field every day which is four to five times per week. Early in
the morning from 6.30am until 8.30am and 4.50pm until 6.30pm. Every time we
step on field, PE will be there together with students G16 as a monitor person
to assist our activities and progress.
Here is some recap my activities from Monday until Saturday.

UiTM JASIN FIELD TOUR
The challenge that I faced is to do tough job during Ramadhan and my energy was draining so fast. All of us work very hard even sun above our head with thirsty and hunger condition. PE keep reminds students to eat more protein and carbohydrates during sahur to avoid from get sick and faint at farm.
