TAKING LECTURER NOTES BY SYAFIQAH SAHIRA
Hi, assalamualaikum w.b.t dear readers. Welcome to my fifth blog! Before we get start, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Syafiqah Sahira binti Saidi, usually people call me by my first name. I was born and lived in Klang, Selangor. Currently, I'm UITM student at Jengka, Pahang and my faculty is Plantation and Agrotechnology. I desired to share with you, about 'taking lecturer notes' that I have learned from study skill.
WHAT IS NOTE?
Note is a summary that you jot down about knowledge or anything you want to remember as the memory or future references. In a class, jot down what lecturer have shared is very important because student will take a look when examination is coming as their references to study.
In school, teacher always remind you to take out pencil and paper to write important message either in class or at assembly, but no one is going to remind you in university. Unless you want to.
Besides taking note on sheet, nowadays student prefer to write down important information in gadget such as iPad.
BUT WHY DO WE NEED TAKE LECTURER NOTES?

1. Prepares before taking lecturer notes

organize your notes

5. Be familiar with the
key terms and names
related to the topic
6. Become an active listener

QUESTION
To produce effective lecture notes, we need a good listening
skill.
Discuss FOUR (4) strategies to improve listening skills
1. Pay more attention to lecturer
2. Do not chatting unnecessary thing
3. Provide feedback such as,
ask a question if you do not understand
4. Make an eye contact
